Ever wanted to know how to crack into the wellness craze in 5 easy steps? Well it just might be easier than you think. If you follow these steps you just might, and I mean might hit the limelight.
Step one: Sign up and study at the IIN – Intergrative Institute of Nutrition.
We all know about the ‘credential free’ wellness bloggers whose bogus certificates are willy-nilly dished out by the Intergrative Institution of Nutrition, to people who are prepared to fork out $6000 bucks – equivalent to about one years study of Nutrition/Dietetics at University. Well they are worthless… yes people it’s a scam… information can be found here , here , here and here All those wellness bloggers who promote IIN, well…they are scamming you as well. They are also receiving a kick-back “fee” as well. Lee Holmes , Melissa Ambrosini , Alice Nicholls Alice also states, “Now studying the Ad Dip in Nutritional Medicine at The Australian Institute of Applied Science – a four year course which mirrors a University Nutrition Degree.” Well that course doesn’t even exist. Anyone who promotes David Wolfe – you should know by now it will be a whole lot of quackery.
Eat Coconut oil, more coconut oil, and eat even more coconut oil.
I mean, who wants to eat tablespoons and tablespoons of saturated fat? To be honest, I think I would throw up. Let’s look at this rationally. Does coconut oil make you lose weight? Nope, sorry it’s not going to make you lose weight. The cult followers will protest that it’s better for the heart! Really? Well that answers that! I’m not going to argue with Harvard. But what about a cure for dementia? Oh, come on, seriously? I hate to tell you – there are no scientific studies to prove it, in fact it may interact with your medication.

Complete a Detox Cleanse
Yes your wellness craze will not be complete without a detox cleanse. Yes folks, you will need to starve. Three days is good, but seven days is even better, just so your body knows it’s not playing tricks on you and will store all the fat you are trying to lose. You can take your pick on what suits you… How about flattummytea.com only $110 dollars for 6 weeks supply. Yes, you only have to drink one cup of tea in the morning and at night for 2 weeks, then one cup for the next two weeks for a instant flat tummy, no exercise required. As if! What about an Isagenix Nine Day Cleanse Program at over $260, with a promise of up to 5kg weight loss in 9 days. That’s a miracle! I’ve been trying to lose 5kgs my whole life! Yep, I can guarantee it’s not going to work. Juice fanatics can even gorge on a juice cleanse. Yes that’s right…you can drink juice for 3, 4 or 5 days straight. Bear in mind a 5-day basic cleanse will set you back $319, which will definitely hit the back pocket. Do they work? Nope, nope and nope. You can read all about it here, here and here
Follow Wellness Gurus on Social Media
Yes set up your social media account, and follow all the usual suspects, David Wolfe, Food Babe, Madeleine Shaw, Ella Woodward, Tess Ward, Paleo Pete, and Sarah Wilson, to name a few.
Wellness gurus? Wellness gurus, what does that even mean? According to the Oxford dictionary, ‘wellness’ means, “The state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.” ‘Guru’ means, “An influential teacher or popular expert.” So does that mean you are in constant pursuit of a goal that will never ever be attained? If yes, then how on earth can you be an expert if you have never obtained it? Mmmm…seems very ironic doesn’t it? Your path to wellness is your path, it is no one else’s. You need to personally create your own special path. What suits you, your lifestyle, your family, and your budget. You need to create YOURS. The only thing good about these “so-called wellness bloggers” is…well…their pictures look pretty.
Blame everything on one single food group or even two, and everything in between.
It seems everyone has the answer to our obesity crisis, yes the ‘I quit sugar tribe’ will blame sugar, but really they are just replacing one sugar with another sugar…. Yes folks, rice malt syrup is worse than sugar! Paleo lovers will say that gluten and cabs, aka – wheat causes obesity. But does it really? Sorry but nope Vegan lovers will love the latest news – meat is now the cause of obesity. Yep, sorry Paleo Pete your argument is now invalid. Veganism love to blame dairy consumption. And the additive-free living tribe like to blame, well, food additives of course. It seems everyone has the answers, but no one has the solutions.
It really seems all confusing doesn’t it? Well not really, I just ignore it all. I tend to stay well away from food tribes and ‘wellness bloggers’ as most have never studied nutrition, and have very little comprehension on what constitutes a well-balanced diet. Their “knowledge” consists of very little intellectual substance in what they are portraying i.e. not backed up by science. As for me, I tend to eat a balanced diet of whole foods based on Mediterranean influences, with very little processed foods. I exercise when I can, and live life and enjoy life’s little indulgences. Now where is that recipe for that chocolate pound cake I have always wanted to make, and fear not…the recipe will be coming soon.
